1. Beef Macaroni

  • 250g macaroni or spirals
  • 2 onions
  • 4 rashers bacon, diced
  • 1 small green pepper
  • 500g minced steak
  • 450ml can tomato soup
  • 11/4 cups water
  • 1 beef stock cube
  • 1 x 500g pkt mixed frozen vegetables
  • salt and pepper

Saute bacon pieces in a large pan-until transparent. Add sliced onions and green pepper, saute another 2 mins. Add minced steak and stir until well browned. Add frozen vegetables soup and water, stock cube and salt and pepper. Cover pan and simmer for 20 mins. Add cooked macaroni and heat well.

2. Hamburgers

  • 500g. minced meat
  • 1 pkt. chicken noodle soup
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 cup SR flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 beaten eggs.

Mix together, shape into hamburgers, roll in flour and cook as for hamburger rissoles.

3. Pineapple Beef

  • 3/4kg. casserole steak
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic (optional)
  • 1 425g tin pineapple pieces
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 60g seasoned flour (salt, pepper, mustard)
  • 1 tbispn. hot sauce
  • 2 rashers of bacon

Cut steak Into cubes and toss in seasoned flour. Put In casserole with diced onion, add garlic, hot sauce, juice from pineapple and enough beef stock to almost cover. Cook at 350.4OOoC for 11/2 hours. Remove and mix in pineapple pieces and chopped bacon. Cook further 30 rains. If gravy needs thickening do so before adding pineapple and bacon.
