1. Salmon Dip
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1 tblspn. gelatine
- Dissolve gelatine in hot water and let cool.
- 1 chicken cube
- 220g. red salmon (undrained)
- juice 1/4 lemon
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup cream
- Pour into mould.
- Blend 30 seconds
2. Smoked Oyster Dip
- 4oz. cream cheese
- 1 tblspn. mayonnaise
- 1/2 tspn. worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tspn. prepared mustard
- a few drops lemon juice
- 1 dstspn. finely chopped chives,
- salt and pepper
- top milk or cream
- 1/2 can smoked oysters
Soften the cream cheese at room temperature, and cream until smooth. Add
mayonnaise, worcestershire sauce, mustard, lemon juice, chives, and
flavour with salt and pepper. Blend thoroughly, adding top milk or cream
to make a dip consistency. Chop the smoked oysters, which have been well
drained, and fold into the mixture. Chill well before serving.
